Sign in to The Root Network
Community-run sites for your ROOT, XRP and NFTs on TRN: your wallet, swaps, trading and staking. Those need a wallet. Tell us what you have and we'll show you the simplest way in.
Just looking? rootscan, rootcom, sylo and the docs are open to everyone, no wallet needed.
What's going on
For months, people who use The Root Network heard very little about what was happening to it. Futureverse built it. When Futureverse went into receivership, TRN Labs took custody of the network, made a lot of noise, and then quietly went dark. Gen3 Labs did try to keep it going, but they were handed a very hard job with very little to work with.
So some of us in the community have started a rescue. It's late, but it's happening.
What we're aiming for:
- Get everything we can working again, and keep the network running properly.
- Get people building on it again.
- Use AI to make getting started much easier, so you don't need to be an expert to join in.
- Make it a real community effort. Anyone can help, run a node or build something.
Where things live: for now, everything is hosted under codeology.co.nz. It's a temporary home while the network finds its feet.
Validators are still running. They are the computers that keep the network going, and we're looking for more people to run one at home. If you have a spare computer and some ROOT, the validator guide shows you how.
Working now: the network itself, your wallet, sending tokens and staking. Not yet: the bridges to Ethereum and the XRP Ledger are paused, and many of the old Futureverse sites are offline.
For the technical
- The chain (id 7668) is producing and finalising blocks. Codeology runs validator root-1 in the active set.
- TRN Labs' public node, root.rootnet.live, is gone. A replacement is at https://rpc.trn.codeology.co.nz (and wss://), with the same paths. Unsafe RPC methods are blocked and requests are rate limited.
- Every site here runs in your browser and talks to the chain directly. No server holds your keys: a passkey wallet's key is worked out on your device each time.
- Want to run a validator? The 2026 validator guide walks through it, with a signed node kit and snapshot shared over BitTorrent.

How signing in works
- A passkey wallet is your passkey. Face ID, your fingerprint or your device PIN unlocks it; the key is worked out on your device each time and never stored or sent anywhere.
- Turn passkey sync on — iCloud Keychain on iPhone, iPad and Mac; Google Password Manager on Android and in Chrome — so the wallet is on your other devices and survives losing this one. Keep the 24-word recovery phrase you're shown when you create it: it opens the same wallet in MetaMask or any other wallet.
- A wallet app such as MetaMask works too. Signing in only shares your public address.
- Signing in here leaves a marker every *.trn.codeology.co.nz site can read, so each one signs you in to the same wallet when you open it. A wallet app that is locked, or new to a site, waits there until you press Continue; a passkey asks for Face ID when you sign something.
- Signing out on any site signs you out of all of them.
